The five challenges companies face in leading the future of the circular economy

For this reason PATIO Innovation & Startup Campus, leading ecosystem in innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability, has identified the 5 challenges that will define the sustainability and circular economy of companies:
- Efficient waste management to reduce environmental impact and maximize material recovery: we want to seek innovative solutions that help optimize logistics and the exchange of waste between the stakeholders involved in its transformation.
- Sustainable awareness of the water resource: sustainable water management is crucial to minimize the water footprint and ensure efficient use of this vital resource. In this context, companies are looking for innovative technologies and methods that facilitate water management, in the face of increasing regulations and expectations of sustainability.
- Integrate circular economy principles throughout the value chain: the importance of solutions that improve traceability and transparency in the use of recycled and sustainable materials, facilitating collaboration between suppliers and partners and promoting sustainable practices at every stage of the production process.
- Generate zero emissions: decarbonization is an urgent priority to reduce carbon emissions and meet global sustainability goals. Companies are looking for innovations that help to profoundly transform business operations, focusing on reducing emissions and adopting sustainable practices as organizations.

Within this program, the selected startups will be able to create synergies with the corporations that have launched the initiative, since they lead the design of the initiative and define the sourcing, screening, reviewing, building and other phases of the program.
In addition, after the Open Call, the selected startups will have access to the PATIO Campus community and will obtain a personalized program in which they will be accompanied by the PATIO Campus innovation teams to identify the needs of their project and business model, jointly realizing a 100% personalized acceleration to their project.
