PATIO Campus unites seven large corporations to find common solutions around the circular economy

PATIO Innovation & Startup Campus, Present the program “Circular Economy” in collaboration with large corporations such as BMW Group Spain, Cepsa, Iberia, Inditex, L'Oréal, Mahou San Miguel and Pascual. This idea was born with the intention of promoting innovation, sustainability and collaboration to achieve a positive and tangible impact on society.

To this end, the promoters of the initiative have called on the entrepreneurial ecosystem to present solutions and ideas to five challenges previously defined by these same corporations, and related to the circular economy:

  1. Efficient waste management to reduce environmental impact and maximize material recovery: the challenge of efficiently managing waste and its revaluation to reduce environmental impact and maximize the recovery of valuable materials. Innovative solutions are being sought to help optimize logistics and the exchange of waste between the stakeholders involved in its transformation.

  1. Sustainable awareness of the water resource: sustainable water management is crucial to minimize the water footprint and ensure efficient use of this vital resource. In this context, companies are looking for innovative technologies and methods that facilitate water management, in the face of increasing regulations and expectations of sustainability.

  1. Integrate circular economy principles throughout the value chain: the importance of solutions that improve traceability and transparency in the use of recycled and sustainable materials, facilitating collaboration between suppliers and partners and promoting sustainable practices at every stage of the production process.

  1. Advancing solutions towards net-zero: the energy transition is an urgent priority to meet global decarbonization objectives. In this regard, companies need innovations that help them transform business operations towards sustainable models, focusing on reducing emissions.

  1. Promote sustainable and accessible mobility for all: sustainable and inclusive mobility focuses on developing transport systems and infrastructures that are not only environmentally friendly, but also facilitate their access to the entire society. Thus, they seek solutions that implement innovative technologies and methods that favor the expansion of sustainable and inclusive mobility.

It should be noted that there will be full synergy between the startups that apply for the Open Call and the founding corporations of PATIO Campus that have launched the initiative, since they have led the design of the initiative and have actively participated in defining the sourcing, screening, reviewing, building and other phases of the program.

After the Open Call, the selected startups will have access to the PATIO Campus community and will obtain a personalized program in which they will be accompanied by the innovation teams of PATIO Campus and the corporations themselves to identify the needs of their project and business model, jointly realizing a 100% personalized acceleration of 8 weeks. Nominations can be submitted at this link and the deadline for receipt is October 10 at 3:00 p.m.
